The NSW Government offers two main ways to reduce the cost of a new reverse cycle air conditioner: an upfront discount through the Energy Savings Scheme (ESS), and interest-free loans through the Home Energy Saver program.

No. The ESS discount is available for new installs and for replacing an older system, but replacing an old, inefficient unit usually attracts a larger discount.
It is a NSW Government program offering interest-free loans of up to $15,000 for energy-saving upgrades, including reverse cycle air conditioning. Loans are repaid over up to 10 years through approved lenders such as Brighte, and are available to NSW homeowners and landlords with a combined household income of up to $210,000, subject to a credit check.
In most cases, yes. The ESS discount comes off the price first, and the loan can then cover some or all of the remaining cost. We’ll confirm what applies to your home when we quote.
The NSW Government has announced discounts of up to $4,000 for households with a combined income of up to $80,000 or eligible concession card holders. These are being rolled out in stages, so ask us for the latest when you enquire.
No. You still get the full manufacturer and installation warranty. Not every model qualifies, so we’ll recommend systems that are eligible and suit your home.
